In order to re-create the shot from 'Drive', we played around with the
lighting in order to create atmosphere and to alter the audiences
perspective on the characters.
We positioned the light under Jess'
face, which caused her face to become distorted. This can make a
character seem sinister and mysterious due to the way their appearance
is altered by the light.
We also used several filters to achieve a
certain atmosphere. For example, we used a blue filter to create a sad
and gloomy surrounding. You can also use two different coloured filters
in order to achieve a particular colour.
