Final Touches

We have now finished editing; we added final touches such as a black and white filter, a heartbeat at the beginning of the sequence, menacing music that plays throughout the rest of the sequence, and lastly, we put certain shots in slow motion.
We did all of this to create tension, and an eerie atmosphere.
The slow motion effect was used to emphasise certain actions such as sliding the knife across the table, this made it more engaging and attention grabbing for the audience.
The black and white filter made the sequence more mysterious and it acted as a representation of the genre being crime/thriller.
The non-diegetic music added to the suspension and generated a menacing vibe. We decided to use a heartbeat at the beginning to kick start the rhythm and to instantly grip the audience.
